INF2131H The Literature of the Humanities and Social Sciences

An examination of trends and developments in the nature and structure of individual disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, with an emphasis on newly emerging interdisciplinary areas. Discusses the way in which citations and book reviews can be used to limn the shifting contours of various subject areas, and provides an overview of print, archival, and digital information sources in selected fields with a view towards the creation of bibliographic instruction tools and classes.
