Description and duties: 

Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer you will develop service priorities and implement operational plans for Information Technology, eServices, Circulation Services, and Collection Management system-wide. You will also be responsible for effective management and day to day operations at the Holland Landing branch. As a member of the senior management team, you will advance the Library's Vision and Mission in accordance with the Library’s Strategic Plan and support changing community and customer service needs.

Qualifications: 

Successful Candidate will:
Possess excellent leadership, collaboration and communication skills, thorough knowledge of library procedures and best practices, familiarity with library technologies and emerging trends, team development and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.

Requirements
• Master of Library/Information Science Degree from an ALA accredited program
• Minimum 2 to 5 years experience in library management, preferably in a public library setting
• Demonstrated experience in IT management including; application software, hardware, network administration, desktop computing and phone systems. Experience with SirsiDynix’s Symphony ILS
• Valid Province of Ontario driver’s license and use of a reliable personal vehicle is required

Compensation: 

Appointment Details
This is a full time position at 35 hours per week, including evenings and weekends. The salary range is $67,000 - $78,000 and includes a comprehensive benefit package. Complete job description available at www.egpl.ca.
