Bachelor of Arts

Gain a foundation in the generation, diffusion and critical analysis of the social impact of new and emerging technologies. In addition to learning how to analyze and use a variety of media tools, you will focus on digital media and its information communication infrastructures. Apply the degree to careers involving presentation, analysis, and immersive communication, utilizing data and information obtained from a wide variety of different media sources in a wide variety of formats. These careers span traditional business, web-based business, health care, education, and creative domains including gaming and simulation.


Master of Museum Studies

This is Canada’s only anglophone master’s program in the discipline. Museological theory and in-depth discussion about critical issues fuel the exploration of collections, curatorship, museum education, programming and management. Hands-on experience is integrated throughout required and elective courses through internships, exhibition projects and a variety of group work that connects students with institutions in the community. Graduates of this customizable program benefit from having access to Toronto’s wide variety of museums, galleries, numerous sites of informal learning and network of professionals. Master of Information

In this innovative program information is explored in all its breath, depth and richness. There is a choice for everyone among seven concentrations, a specialization, a design-your-own option and a thesis option. Graduates will be the next generation of valued professionals who are able to lead the progression of information design, organization, storage, access and retrieval, dissemination, preservation, conservation and management. PhD in Information Studies

Be equipped to take on leadership roles in infomration and knowledge-based environments, including academia. The doctorate program features advanced scholarly research in the theoretical bses of information studies. In private and public institutions, apply the PhD to professional practice functions such as research, systems analysis and design, and administration.


Diploma of Advanced Study in Information Studies

This post-Master's diploma is designed for information professionals who want to pursue further studies, but do not wish to take a PhD degree. With the DAIS a specialization can be devleoped and the diploma can be tailored to individual needs and interests.
